This is the first post in a category that I’m going to call My Journal. Consider this category to be a collection of snippets from my life. Mykronor is designed to be a resource that helps people navigate their financial life in Sweden. At the same time, I hope it carries a part of me, something personal and human.
To be honest, I’m not sure what direction this category will take. Hence, the name My Journal. It could be anything and everything, from life experiences to my musings on different topics.
What you’re about to read is something that I wrote back in 2022 when I first had the idea to start something. It only took me 3 years to finally pull the trigger.
Hello world!
It has been on my mind for a while that I should start writing, but I wasn’t sure what it should be about and for ‘whom’? I guess these questions made me put it off for a while. However, today is when I decided I would finally take the plunge and get on with it. I’m not sure I have managed to answer those questions, but I don’t think they matter anymore. Perhaps, they were just excuses for me to procrastinate into eternity. At the very least, whatever I write here would serve to be a journal of sorts.
I realise that I should perhaps say something about myself, on the off chance someone else reads this. I’m Noel, and I live in Sweden. I’m not from Sweden, I guess life just brought me here. I moved here in 2016 to do my master’s in aerospace engineering and just ended up staying. I like many things, and they include books, working out, learning and spending my time on things that I later feel guilty about (is this one of those?).
What am I going to write about, you may wonder. I honestly have no idea. I think I will just let it evolve and see where it goes. Some of the topics I imagine would be technology, economics, personal finance and maybe just life in general. As I said, I am always trying to learn something new, so I hope what I write here will serve as a summary of what I have learned. The world is an interesting place and constantly evolving in ways I could have never imagined, so I think there will be plenty to write about. It’s only a matter of organising what I have in my head into words.
If you have somehow stumbled across my humble journal, welcome! I hope you find something interesting here that makes you feel like you have learned something new. The internet is a wonderful thing. How else would a random person living in Sweden be able to share his thoughts with the whole world with just a click?
We are all now connected by the internet, like neurons in a giant brain
Like I wrote down in 2022, I guess I will see where this goes and just let it evolve. Thanks for making it all the way through.
